Hi everyone, i would like to start out by saying that i started flying online and i love it! although i have not had the chance to land at an airport that is controlled yet i have dialogued with a few ATC and it is very fun! it is also very helpful for real world flying as it gives me more confidence. anyway, i used to be at a virtual airline where most of the Vatsim events (the ones in the USA of course) were posed, therefore there was sometimes a bunch of AFA planes flying in. i did not ave the chance to participate in any of these but from what i red on the forums they were great. It's also a great advertisement for the airline and on top of all its very fun to fly with a bunch of your virtual airline buddies. to get to my point

i thought maybe we could be a little more active on the online world. Posting future events (the last post is from June!) would be a great start. also, anyone that would participate to that event would state what plane he or she would be using to fly in, from where, at what time... so that all the participants from EAC could be on at the same time. Finally, i do not know if it is implemented here, but in my old VA. you could file the pirep fro the fly in even if it was not on your route. for example, if i had just finished a flight from kcos to kjfk and there was a fly in the next morning to LAX i would not need to fly KJFK --> KLAX i could just pick an airport around LAX and fly from there, and in the pirep i would state that it is a fly in. once the fly in is over, i would go back to flying the rest of my asignment. sure it is a little unrealistic but it makes it much easier to participate.
anyway, its just an idea to get more people flying online and to connect the VA.
have a great evening everyone!
